Lead, Share and Engage; Women creating a safe world. Safe spaces for women to lead, to share, to serve, to influence and to engage is increasingly important in the work of the YWCA movement. The World YWCA Annual Report April 2009 - March 2010 focuses on the the World YWCA continued efforts to create empowering opportunities through dialogues, workshops, trainings and inter-generational sharing of knowledge, experiences and skills at regional, national, and global platforms that leads to the creation of a safer world.
The work highlighted during this reporting period touches upon and carries the theme of the World Council and the International Women’s Summit, which will be held in Zurich, Switzerland, from July 10-16, 2011.
The achievements described in this report were made possible through the personal commitment and hard work of our many volunteers, Board members, partners, donors, staff and members all around the world. We thank all those who supported and continue to support the World YWCA and its Member Association
